SOFTswitch™ fabrics are ‘touch sensitive’ – when mechanically distorted or compressed they exhibit a large change in Ohmic resistance that is proportional to the force applied.  This proportional response allows SOFTswith fabrics to be used effectively both as switches and pressure sensors, responding to the lightest touch or hardest hammer blow.

In use, the switches retain the benefits of textiles – washability, handling, durability, conform to 3D shapes, and fashion styling.

SOFTswitch™ switches provide functionality of electronic controls – enabling direct connectivity between garment and electronic device.
